- In my current role at Fresh Direct, I am responsible for ensuring product of the highest standards is distributed through JIT temperature-controlled supply chains supplying the hospitality sector, hospitals, and schools. This is done by working with goods in completing checks and goods out to ensure product is good enough for despatch.
- I ensure the highest standards are applied by checking produce and ensure it meets or exceeds strict legal criteria determined by DEFRA and other regulating bodies. All checks are documented, monitored, and analysed for future trends, weather conditions, agricultural and import/export challenges.
- I am responsible for updating, collating the product rejections, liaising with suppliers, and distributing reports throughout the business – this involves working with other quality inspectors from other sites for the business.
- I calibrate QA equipment (scales / temperature probes) on daily and weekly basis.
