  • In my current role as Postgraduate Specialist trainee at CT1 level in General Medicine at Bahawalpur Victoria Hospital, Bahawalpur, Pakistan which is a tertiary care and teaching hospital providing health care services to 7 million people for last 60 years, I manage patients in emergency, ward and outpatient departments where I perform history taking, examination skills and also make a shared treatment plan with the patient and arrange counselling sessions as well. Management and leadership experience

During my posting at BHU 39 DNB, I worked as main administrator of the hospital for almost 18 months. A team of 35 healthcare workers was working under my command which included lady health visitors, lady health workers, vaccinators, dispenser, sanitary inspector, computer operater and midwifes. I made roaster of the hospital, did financial work as well, made infection control committees, renovated building of the hospital. In addition to this, I was in incharge of preventive services and public health work which included Expanded program of immunization, educational seminars regarding diarrhea prevention, anti dengue safety measures and arranged seminars regarding safe drinking water and I personally did door to door compaign regarding these measures. I trained my staff regarding preventive measures in communicable diseases, lifestyle modification in non-communicable disorders and also about picking red flags and when to refer patients from community to the hospital.
