Providing comprehensive care to patients which includes

· Asses physical, psychological & psychosocial needs of residents,provide comprehensive care to elderly and bedridden residents with age related disease conditions,including palliative care,diabetic care,dementia care ,wound care.

· Collection of personal, social & general data by interviewing formally & informally during various N-Pt-family interactions

· Review of records& reports and diagnostic tests

· Monitor vital signs of patients & maintain daily records & reports confidentially

· Handle admissions & discharges and transfer the patients from one department to another or one hospital to another as per directions of concerned doctors

· Give health education to the patients & family effectively with the required commitments& comparisons

· Co-ordinate all equipments & maintain stock of essential items including Medications,Suppliments,dressing materials.

· Asses patient’s ability to perform ADL like maintaining personal hygiene, feeding& to assist them as required

· “Follow strict aseptic technique & barriers of nursing for whenever needed & follow agency protocols of patient care in case of fire,outbreaks of infections.

• RESPONSIBILITIES
• Ensure comprehensive and evidence based nursing care to the residents by focusing on their physical,psychologicsl and ,social aspect and to maintain a good quality of life
• Liase with multidisciplinary team members in carrying out patient care
• Maintain inventory of all articles& receive required stationary items
• Attend physician’s rounds and carryout the orders immediately
• Co-ordinates nursing activities in the unit & meet patient’ needs
• Assist procedure like Subcutaneous cannula insertion, endotracheal intubation, defibrillation, central vein insertion, etc
• Assess client fears, anxieties, support systems & patterns of coping
• Establish trusting relationship with patient,family and significant others
• Assist doctors in physical examination & investigation, management of IV fluids, blood & blood components.
