. Oversee the end-to-end management of poultry vaccination programmes, including vaccine selection, cold chain integrity, field administration, and post-vaccination monitoring, to ensure flock immunity and reduce disease incidence.

. Develop, implement, and audit biosecurity protocols across farms and processing facilities to prevent pathogen introduction and spread, ensuring compliance with national and international animal health standards.

. Lead quality and change management initiatives by evaluating current vaccination and biosecurity processes, driving continuous improvement, and managing the adoption of new technologies or protocols, with minimal operational disruption.

. Conduct regular biosecurity and vaccine handling audits, utilising strong problem solving and time management skills to identify gaps, implement corrective actions, and enhance overall audit accuracy and team accountability.

. Collaborate with veterinary teams, farm managers, and senior leadership to align biosecurity strategies with organisational resilience goals, providing training and communication to ensure consistent execution of protocols across all sites.

• Flock Management & Welfare: Monitor bird health, feed and water intake, and environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, ventilation) to ensure optimal growth rates and compliance with animal welfare standards. Oversee vaccinations and medication schedules.
• Biosecurity & Compliance: Enforce strict biosecurity protocols to prevent disease outbreaks, manage visitor and contractor access, and supervise cleaning and disinfection procedures.
• People and Operations: Supervise and train farm assistants, assign daily tasks, and step in to manage the farm in the Farm Manager’s absence. Duties include managing alarms, ordering supplies, and maintaining farm records, and equipment.
• Production Analysis: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as Feed Conversion Ratio (FCR), mortality rates, and bird weights to identify areas for continuous improvement.

• Production & Performance Management: Oversee daily farm operations, monitor bird growth rates, mortality, and feed conversion ratios (FCR), and implement corrective action plans to achieve production targets.
• Animal Health: Enforce strict biosecurity protocols, manage vaccination programmes, liaise with veterinarians on disease outbreaks, and ensure all animal welfare standards are met.
• Facilities and Environment Management: Manage tunnel-ventilated or open-sided houses, adjusting water lines, feed lines, air inlets, fans, lights, and litter conditions to maintain an optimal growing environment.
• Staff Leadership & Training: Lead, coach, and manage a team of farm staff, ensuring they follow SOPs, safety standards, and best practices to maintain a productive and positive work environment.
• Compliance & Data Management: Maintain accurate records of bird health, feed consumption, temperature, mortality, and treatment. Prepare technical reports for management and ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality audit standards.
• Logistics & Resource Coordination: Coordinate with feed mills, processing plants, and transport contractors to ensure the timely supply of inputs and efficient delivery of live birds to processing facilities.
