  • During my time as a yard operative, I took the opportunity to progress my career to become the company Compliance Officer. I took part in on the job training and coursework to achieve my WAMITAB level 4 in Waste and Resource - Biological Treatment Processing, and also WAMITAB Level 4 in Waste and Resource Management – Physical Treatment. I supervised the production of compost, from incoming council garden waste to the finished product, PAS100 certified compost. General tasks involved heath and safety, risk assessments and ensuring the company complied with relevant environmental legislation.
  • During my time at TMA, I gained two year’s management experience within my role as a compliance officer. I maintained the health and safety on site for all visitors and employees, ensuring all HSE requirements were enforced. Liaised with Forestry Commission on matters of plant health and importing of containers of bark from South Africa.
