l am a confident, honest, reliable and hardworking person with a good sense of humour. I am capable of
working as a team member and also capable of working on my own initiative in order to maintain the
relevant standards and targets required by an employer.
Started as a trainee but having IT knowledge helped with the technical side of things. Progressing onto full installations, servicing and fault finding. This ranged from Intruder Alarms, CCTV (IP and Analogue), Door Access, Nurse call systems and a small amount of work on conventional Fire Alarms. Systems worked on Risco (inc older Guardtec), Texecom, Orisec, Galaxy, Scantronic, Hikvision, Dahua, Paxton. Moving onto Engineering Manager later on managing a team of 6, project managing, job scheduling and parts ordering. I am responsible for completing site surveys, system design and sending out quotes. I have experience in networks, ip addresses and VLANs. Experience using Putty Telnet as this was how the Nurse call system is configured in the first instance.
At Informe I was responsible for installation, maintenance and support of Avaya IP Office
telecommunication equipment, including legacy systems from the Alchemy Argent range right up to the
current IP500 range. I started at Informe with no prior knowledge of telephone systems and I am now an
accredited Avaya Engineer with a current ACIS acereditation (Avaya Certified Implementation
Specialist) I was also responsible for providing IT support on clients servers and workstations. This
includes configuration and installation of new pcs, servers, software and network equipment. I also
completed any relevant cable work that needs to be done i.e. Cat 5 and BT Wiring. Another aspect of my
role is call outs and site visits, mainly dealing with fault finding, system breakdowns and
hardware/software upgrades, this subsequently means I am part of an on call rota.
All aspects of adult care work.
