Contractor

Sensify Us
12.2015 - 10.2019

I was the Global Lead for developing, applying, and introducing Telematics, Wireless Sensors, and Remote Diagnostics capabilities at Sensify Systems.

My responsibilities include creating and maintaining a strategic roadmap for Telematics, considering the market state, the Voice of the Customer (VOC), and the resources available internally and externally.

  • One of my significant accomplishments was initiating a project to reduce the cost of Telematics hardware. This project resulted in production approval in just three months, leading to savings of $20,000 in the first year.
  • I have also led a cross-functional team to engineer, develop and implement Telematics products globally. In addition, I negotiated contracts with vendors for software development, hardware supply, wireless services, and specialised contracting services.
  • Furthermore, I provided a business case, budgets, and project timelines for constructing a state-of-the-art data warehouse and analytics system to store and process data. I also monitored office workflow and administrative processes to ensure operations ran smoothly.
  • Finally, I identified methods to reduce complexity and increase the scalability of the Telematics system, resulting in optimised system performance and tiered product offerings for profit generation.
  • I was responsible for reporting to all stakeholders, including senior management, to provide program status, schedule timelines, and costs.
  • Consulted with customers to assess needs and propose optimal solutions.
  • Delivered outstanding service to customers to maintain and extend relationships for future business opportunities.

Co-Owner / Principal

ICapture Ltd
01.2011 - 12.2015

ICapture is a leading company that offers video telematics and accident management solutions. Their services are designed for insurance companies and intermediaries. As a part of my role, I manage a diverse team of staff members to ensure the company exceeds the Board of Director's expectations.

  • I focus on providing exceptional service to all clients while maximising revenues and associated net profits from the supply chain's hires, repairs, and other partner programs. I am responsible for projecting a £90m annual budget.
  • I work closely with suppliers, insurance and hire, sales, and operations within the repair process to ensure that all systems and methods are adhered to, and that teams work efficiently. My responsibilities include negotiating supply chain agreements with independent engineers and insurance companies.
  • I manage telematics operations and business development teams through the change process following a difficult trading period and streamlining the business in all areas.
  • I have successfully negotiated a new rebate structure for a £2.1m accident management contract, which has resulted in a retained profit of 60%. I have also implemented a change to the OEM contract each year for three years, which has led to increased revenues of £2.2m per annum and an increased cash position of £8m. Additionally, I have increased telematics services income by 60% through competitor analysis and robust management of the supply chain team.
  • Evaluated suppliers to maintain cost controls and improve operations.
  • Set, enforced, and optimized internal policies to maintain responsiveness to demands.
