I have worked at British Gas for over 3 years now where I have grown from an apprentice engineer into one of the most experienced engineers in my patch. I am often asked for advice from other engineers, often asked by my manager to have inexperienced engineers out with me when their mentors are off.

When my manager is on annual leave, I have deputised for him on a number of occasion now dealing with a number of issues that have arisen. Most notably was recently having to deal with multiple engineers either going off sick or being delayed with vehicle issues and having to communicate with dispatch and manage the work load in order to ensure there were no ring offs.

Through out my career not just with British Gas I have always excelled in managing targets and making sure the end goal gets completed.

As a mortgage advisor within an estate agent I was part of the management team including the branch manager and assistant manager. A large part of my responsibility was ensuring that targets were met with my manager with regards to profit and productivity. The sole responsibility for mortgage targets in the branch was my responsibility and my stats showed that I thrived in the role.

During my time in the Royal Navy I excelled in my branch ensuring a very prompt promotion to leading hand which I achieved in 2 years. I was put in charge of as team of 8 sailors, our job was to collect intelligence via different means and advise the high command on all matters intelligence onboard. The targets I was given to hit were very challenging and often required working very long hours as the importance of hitting these targets could literally be life and death. I was the sole advisor to the principle warfare officer and the captain of the ship. During a deployment in 2014 I led a team to the middle east for 9 months, I was responsible for completing intelligence analysis to a very high standard I received a commendation from the command. This was all down to managing the sailors below me and delegating work load to ensure work was completed within time restraints.

I later managed the accommodation office within HMS Drake where I had a team of 18.
