Supervisor

GAME
Nottingham
10.2021 - Current

In this managerial role, the main tasks involved include supervising and motivating sales staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to enhance team efficiency. Working as part of a management team covering multiple stores, it was essential to remain organised when managing product merchandising and monitoring inventory levels, with a continued focus on collaboration within and throughout teams. This allowed for team objectives and targets to be consistently met or exceeded.

I often enjoyed balancing these managerial responsibilities with hands-on customer service, which sometimes involved addressing customer issues, operational challenges and staff concerns, which require a swift and professional response, to maintain both staff and customer satisfaction.

Sales Assistant

11.2019 - 10.2021

Starting during the busy Christmas period, this role developed my ability to multitask, manage queues and fast-changing stock levels, whilst also continuing to provide excellent customer service. This includes delivering expert product knowledge on a range of gaming consoles. accessories, and keeping up to date on new releases to enhance the customer's shopping experience.

A key part of this role included working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve sales targets and maintain a high-performing retail environment. In doing so, this role helped me to develop strong communication and interpersonal skills, both from engaging with a diverse customer base and working towards goals with colleagues.
