O's Refugee Aid Team, Refugee Community Kitchen
  • Two-week placement at the warehouse in Calais where I worked on prepping food, directing the kitchen in cooking some of my family recipes; worked further on distributing hundreds of meals to displaced and vulnerable people on the move in Calais.
  • Previously worked with O’s Refugee Aid Team in Calais, France, to provide humanitarian assistance to displaced and vulnerable people. Distributed food, supplies, and temporary accommodation, and participated in the development project Maison Sesame.

Sustainability Consultant

  • Month-long full-time placement working on developing the foundations of the circular economy.
  • Developed a vision statement for the company and presented my ideas, having worked on the warehouse floor and gained a first-hand understanding of the operations.

Summer Intern

  • A Brand Experience Agency Placement where I shadowed aided, and assisted the core functioning of different aspects of a start up - from recruitment, finance and line management to brand engagement and marketing.
  • Co-organised a Macmillan Coffee Morning, where I helped secure and organise the raffle of luxury fragrances. In doing so, I helped PIMES raise thousands of pounds for charity.

  • Consistently applied effective, innovative teaching methods to meet and exceed team needs.
  • Coached kickboxers in competitive fight situations, offering tactical support and encouragement, leading to victory against Oxford at Varsity in the 2023/24 season, whilst further coaching a fighter to victory at an international competition.
  • Led the efforts to organise one of the most successful Varsity Competitions in years.
  • Created a club constitution, code of conduct, and welfare policy.
  • Organised finances and budgets for the year.
  • Led and inspired team of 8 staff to uphold training and competitive standards, and demonstrate professionalism.

Financial Times
  • Participated in the pilot Online Work Experience Programme, where I interviewed various FT employees, working collaboratively to develop a business plan about the FT's social media strategy with the aim of attracting a younger audience.
  • Presented this business plan to the FT's various offices across the globe.
  • Invited back to mentor other work experience students after my placement.
