As a Math Tutor, I worked with students to help them improve their understanding and confidence in mathematics. I supported them with their homework, taking time to explain each step clearly and ensuring they understood how to approach different types of questions. In addition to helping with current schoolwork, I also introduced new topics ahead of their lessons to give them a head start and reinforce key concepts like fractions, algebra, percentages, and basic problem-solving strategies.

A key part of my role involved preparing students for their SATs by reviewing past papers, identifying areas they found challenging, and helping them develop effective techniques for tackling exam-style questions. I also helped students begin to build a strong foundation for GCSE Maths by introducing essential topics early, making sure they felt confident before officially starting the course.

Throughout my tutoring, I adapted my teaching style to suit each student’s needs using visual aids, real-life examples, and step-by-step breakdowns when needed. I regularly tracked their progress, gave constructive feedback, and kept parents informed about their development. The most rewarding part of this role was seeing students grow more confident and independent in their learning.

• As a Warehouse Operative, I was responsible for supporting the smooth and efficient running of daily operations within a busy warehouse environment. My duties included picking and packing orders accurately, loading and unloading deliveries, and organising stock to maintain a clean and orderly workspace. I worked quickly and carefully to meet daily targets while ensuring all items were handled safely and in line with health and safety guidelines. I was also trained to use equipment such as pallet trucks and scanners, and I consistently followed procedures to reduce errors and improve productivity. Teamwork was a key part of the role, and I regularly communicated with supervisors and colleagues to make sure orders were completed on time and to a high standard.
