Partly clinical and Partly research based, this informal experience post consisted of overviews of in-patient and outpatient procedures and independent information extraction to conduct a clinical epidemiology study on the implications of neurophysiological monitoring. Skills required were efficient and skilful usage of excel and word, time management and independent organisation, along with co-ordination and correspondence with staff for expertise, and for communication.
Responsibilities in this role were both social and manual/functional, greeting people to the hospital, helping lost citizens, manning the volunteer desk, but also give a helping hand to staff at the hospital in restocking non-medical equipment, transporting wheelchairs and other mobility devices, and generally keeping patients company. Much of these tasks involved physical labour, e.g. Lifting heavy objects or sorting/organising equipment.

In august of 2025, I achieved a gold level CREST award upon completing the mandatory 70 hours of my project, titled 'retrospective data analysis of intraoperative neurophysiology data with respect to patient outcomes'.

In June of 2025 I achieved the gold certificate, outstanding understanding, in the national olympiad for biology.
