  • Provided attentive daily service to one of the busiest outdoor areas in Banff.

  • The Gherkin was unique in that it was a cafe and bar where its community came first
  • This meant that as well as the usual hospitality roles required, I was also an active part of the local community
  • These additional roles consisted of weekly litter picks for the town, organising free events for the community and working closely with food banks and other charities

  • Charleston House is a heritage site which was once home to a group of intellectual artists and speakers known as the ‘Bloomsbury Group’
  • During my internship I undertook independent research on the house and its archives which was used for the planning of future exhibitions
  • I assisted with the running of events as well as putting together educational packs for visitors

Tour Guide

  • As a tour guide for the only accessible school air raid shelter in the UK, I gave one of a kind tours to visitors from all over the country and also ran weekly workshops for school visits
  • The tours were my own, with all the knowledge I had on the shelter and the history of wartime Brighton being entirely independent research
  • I was praised for my charisma and clear passion for the role, something that meant a lot as I was the youngest tour guide of the team
  • I independently ran the museum’s Instagram and Twitter sites to promote the organisation and educate a wider audience

  • 11/01/22, Invited to be one of ten guest speakers for Pechakucha Night Manchester, giving a sold-out talk on the etymology of love language.

  • Created an educational YouTube channel during COVID, with positive responses.

  • Keen interest in nature and outdoor activities, particularly hiking and wild swimming.
