In September 2021 I started enrolled at the University of Sunderland, studying health and social care with a specialism in health and wellbeing. The core principle and theory of the health and social care modules was the biopsychosocial model. I have completed several modules which include but not limited to; health inequalities and life style killers focusing on preventable diseases such as illness due to smoking. Counselling skills , focusing on cognitive behaviour theory and person-centred counselling and putting these skills into action by demonstrating them in a controlled setting with peers. Safeguarding, exploring how to safeguard both vulnerable adults and children and making judgments in non-bias ways. Domestic violence and drugs exploring why inequalities within society can contribute to people using drugs as a coping method. I have also looked at men's mental health and suicide and I looked at women and menopause for my final piece of work m thesis.
