- The role was to guide the visitors through the exhibits whilst maintaining absolute safety for both them and the animals in my care.
- To provide fun and educational services to the guests which largely comprised of groups of school children, students and the general public including private tours.
- Public speaking and Q&A sessions held after for those who wanted to learn more.
- Maintain a good rapport with the keepers, managers and other guest hosts to ensure an amazing experience for all.
- Imperative to retain all correct and up to date information about all exhibits, from the biology of animals to how they are looked after at the centre.
- Maintaining good health and safety practices were a very important factor in the role. Training provided on all the procedures to ensure well-being of the guests and animals.
