Hi there, Im Aaron - My main background is customer-focused within retail management. Cultivating relationships, creating marketing campaigns to support the stores growth and community causes are my current priority. Growing profit channels as team leader in-store has encouraged my experience with retail operational technology. I started working within retail as a friendly student available for weekend, evening and holiday shifts. Considering hard work, punctuality and driven ambition - I am delighted to be in the position I am in so early and wish to embark on opportunities into further commerical retail environments and potential residential estates as a means to grasp the concept of mass scale real estate and sales operations.
Accomplishments
CPD Commitments
During my part-time role with J Sainsburys PLC, I grasped the key concepts of larger retail operations in a 'Grade 8 Store' . I executed revised sales plans with my line management and reset zones to incorporate new merchandise. I consistently rotated stock correctly to minimize spoilage and waste and maintained tidy and clean work areas to promote optimal productivity and safety standards. On days, I also backed up cashier staff during heavy customer flows to prevent unnecessary service delays. This supported the growth of my personal customer service approach during my transition from secondary school to A-levels and I began to become more vigilant and aware of the management taking place from customer service departments to warehouse operations.
During my time at Sixth Form, I was presented with the opportunity to carry out work experience in the financial advise and solutions sector. I was approached by a local mutual connection I originally knew via LinkedIn who offered me a Full/Part Time or WEX contract in this desired sector. I took it upon myself to take out a WEX contract as a means to obtain academic experience in one of Manchester's leading financial institutions. During my short-time here I created spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel for daily, weekly and monthly credit reporting. I used Microsoft Word and other software tools to create documents and other communications from creditors to debtors. This was to meet clearance deadlines. Finally, I managed to identify payment issues, analyzed information and provided solutions to debt resolution problems. This surrounded a variety of debt support schemes such as IVA's and Bankruptcy.
Studying my level 2 GCSE qualifications at Knutsord Academy, Cheshire - We were advised to take on work experience with a local or familiar employer in order to grasp the key concepts of reliable and consistent work. Hereby I was expected to maintain punctuality, adapt to uncomfortable situations around new peers and commit to supporting and enhancing the role I shall be fulfilling. I chose to complete this experience at my previous primary school in order to gain professional relationships with those who have used their WEX skills to teach me before in the past. This enabled me to receive accurate feedback on my personal and professional performance from primary school up to this point. This is the best judgement on this based on the staff and I already having a tutor to student relationship in the past. During my week experience here I assisted students with various needs from putting on coats to go outside to reviewing homework assignments tutored struggling students individually and in small groups to reinforce learning concepts. I delivered personalized educational, behavioral and emotional support to individual students to enable positive learning outcomes. Finally, I distributed learning materials such as worksheets, textbooks and supplemental activities and promoted physical, mental and emotional development in the classroom.
