Work history

DIRECTOR & ENGINEER

CLEAN ENERGY HARVEST
Lyme Regis, Dorset
11.2023 - 03.2025
  • Good friends myself and Ed founded the business in November 2023.

I have been running my own successful electrical business in the Devon area for over fifteen years. Before that I worked on large UPS electrical systems in London. He has also worked in the marine environment on super yachts, servicing the many electrical, plumbing and hydraulic systems on board.

Ed has worked in the manufacturing industry for over 20 years. He has held many managerial and leadership positions in Quality, Customer Services, Design Engineering, Operations.

After installing a solar PV panel and battery system in Ed’s house, and seeing the advantages they decided to start a business. They have a keen interest in new technology and felt that it is fundamentally important for the future of the environment as well as the ability to significantly reduce customers energy bills.

They found that there are many savings to be made. The solar array obviously supplies the properties energy during the day but when the properties demand is satisfied the array then charges the batteries for use in the evening. When the battery is full, exporting energy back to the grid and being paid for it is also very attractive. Even further advantages can be made by charging your battery on low-cost energy at night and using the energy during the day when you would normally pay peak prices.
