I am currently a highly motivated Manual Machinist with 11 years of experience. During this time, I have continuously developed my skills and knowledge as both a Machinist and Thermal Spray Operator and this has allowed me to progress within the company and take on a lead hand/supervisor role within the workshop.
By working alongside other team members and departments within the company, as well as customers and suppliers I have been able to produce high quality parts and deliver high levels of production safely.
At this point in my Career I am seeking new challenges and am motivated to expand my skill set into related disciplines such as CNC Machining or Welding & Fabrication.
I am also interested in any opportunities to work within the offshore oil and gas industry as this has been an ambition of mine for some time .
In this role I maintained my previous role as Lead machinist and Thermal spray operator whilst also carrying out the follow tasks:
This Role required me to Run and Maintain:
Praxair TAFA JP5000 and JP8000 HVOF (High Velocity Oxyfuel) systems ,Metallisation 1000A Plasma Units and Metallisation Wire Arc Units. these systems require the uses of several Gases such as Argon, Nitrogen and Helium as well as Liquid oxygen.
This role Requires me to programmed and Operated Several ABB Robots in order to apply Hard face coatings.

The role of Manual Machinist has required me to Operate numerous machines within the workshop, these include:
Harrison V460 and Poreba PL42 480 Lathes,
Churchill and WMW Cylindrical grinders,
Jones & Shipman 1411 and Bhavya HSG 10040A+ Surface grinders Cleveland and Lamplan 3R1200vs Lapping tables.
