Whilst working in Fast Technologies I have gained experience in building Battery Tripping units and control panels
I have to liaise with my manager and receive a job folder which includes a specification a wiring schematic and also a parts list for the panel that I would have to build
I am responsible for gathering the parts needed from the storeroom to build the panel.
I layout the panel keeping to the customers specification and any space constraints they might have whilst also having to keep the panel very ascetically pleasing to make sure the customer is receiving a high-quality product and also adhering to Fast technologies strict quality policy.
I interpret wiring schematics, I have to use Cembre software on the computer to generate a list of labels to wire the panel.
I use PVC singles and Multi-core cable to wire the panel whilst using various hand tools to do this.
I am responsible for testing the panel using various pieces of equipment, Fluke multi meter, DC clamp meter, load bank and a thermal image camera
Whist testing the panel I have to follow strict testing procedure systematically whilst wearing the correct PPE needed.
I am Responsible for fault finding any panels that might have a fault present, I have to use my initiative to determine the fault but also consulting with my colleagues and manager for advice if the fault is not clear.
I work in a small team using teamwork to complete large projects, whist also working on my own using my initiative when there are various projects that need to be completed
