  • Since joining Openreach I have completed my apprenticeship to be a qualified telecoms engineer
  • This role has required me to exercise my excellent communication skills with team members, management and customers at great length to find solutions to broadband and telecoms faults
  • I enjoy the customer relations side to my role and understand the importance of effective communication to build a good report and manage customers' expectations as the front face of the company
  • I have gained extra training of underground and broadband upskilling to broaden my knowledge of the network
  • This role has allowed me to excel in my time management skills and follow company policy and adhere to strict health and safety regulations
  • As a predominantly lone working-based role I must always be self-critical and highly motivated to ensure I am working to the highest standard.

  • Whilst working at Omar my role was to paint the exterior coating on the park homes
  • This role required good time management as we had to hit our daily and weekly targets so that they could continue with final finishes
  • Communication was key in our line and across the rest of the factory as we needed to keep the production line going forward
  • Attention to detail was also another strength I worked on here to ensure the homes looked good and consistent.
