Aaran McCall

• I worked as an apprentice engineer welder and fabricator for around a year. Although it was not my main career passion and was a backup to my electrical trade, I remained committed and made the most of the opportunity, gaining valuable hands on experience working on site.

• I work in one of the busiest McDonalds in the country. After three months I was promoted from crew member to crew trainer, where I was responsible for training and supporting new starters.

Worked as part of the food and beverage team during concerts, sporting events and other large events. Mainly served drinks and handled card and cash payments in a very busy environment, with up to 12,000 people attending the arena on event nights. Regularly dealt with large queues and fast-paced service while keeping things moving and providing good customer service. Also kept the work area clean, followed food hygiene standards and helped restock fridges and supplies when needed.

I’m still employed here on a 0-hour contract, which means I can pick up shifts whenever I’m available, and I plan to continue doing it on the side alongside other work.
