• I completed an introductory flight experience with Clifton Aviation, achieving one hour of flight time, which strengthened my passion for aviation and reinforced my motivation and commitment to pursuing a career as a pilot.
• This experience also provided hands-on exposure to basic aircraft control and in-flight procedures, as well as insight into aviation operations and pilot responsibilities, while developing my understanding of flight safety procedures and industry expectations.
• I participated in the Fantasy Wings Aviation Programme as part of the first cohort in 2020/21, taking part in a year-long series of monthly aviation sessions, including career conversations with pilots, captains, and engineers, as well as completing team-building activities and gaining industry insights, which further developed my understanding of the aviation industry and strengthened my long-term ambition to pursue a career in aviation.
• I have completed four out of five sections of my Gold Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, including a ten day canoeing expedition in Scotland that required working closely as a team, staying resilient and adaptable in challenging conditions, communicating effectively, and maintaining strong awareness of safety throughout.
• I have worked as an online tutor and served as a school prefect and mentor to younger students, where I supported learning, guided behaviour, and acted as a positive role model. These experiences have developed my leadership potential, integrity, and ability to communicate clearly and effectively with different age groups.
• I also completed work experience in a primary school, where I assisted with classroom activities and supported younger pupils in their learning. This experience strengthened my sense of responsibility, patience, and ability to communicate in a clear and supportive way in a structured environment.
