Successfully led a cross functional team to deliver a highly complex project to in-source products from co-packer:

  • In-source of a new product type to SLC – effervescent tablets
  • Design and construction of manufacturing facility to Healthcare standards
  • Specified, tendered and implemented a custom effervescent production line
  • Completed project with aggressive timeline and within $12M budget
  • Calculated risks during project development and managed risks throughout projects.
  • Oversaw worksite construction to coordinate with supervisors and guide work packages.

Designed, installed and validated a world class Purified Water system from base:

  • Calculated efficient sizing of generation vs storage and distribution system to meet customer demand and balanced value engineering
  • Applied engineering and hygienic design to meet latest ASME BPE and RB standards, utilizing the latest technology and delivered best practice approach to Purified Water design
  • Determined and scheduled priorities as required to progress engineering work.

Liquids Capacity: Led and supported multi-faceted project to deliver additional Nurofen for Children and Mucinex capacity for two new packaging lines. The project included:

  • New OTC pharmaceutical grade building for the Process Suite
  • Vakumix Process Suite; 6000L + 6000L + 800L vessels with automated batching
  • Direct transfer to production lines with CIP system
  • Purified Water generation and distribution; 12m3/hr and a 4” ring-main
  • Dispensary Down-flow Booth with DMS capability

Purified Water: upgraded existing Purified Water system to include modernized Reverse Osmosis and CEDI system to meet latest company standards and USP/EP requirements.

Symex 5000: Responsible for a delivering a high-volume lotions manufacturing plant from inception to completion with calculated savings of >£1,400,000 pa.
Purified Water: Led and assisted in various aspects of the design and construction a modern Purified Water system; including dual Ion exchange generation, 20,000L storage vessel with 3” distribution and 2” ring-mains to deliver auto-dispensed PW to 25 points of use.

Symex Advanced Crèmes: This process suite was designed to be the most advanced crèmes process plants in ELC using improved technologies and innovations including an automated CIP system with steam SIP. This attributed to a 50% reduction in CIP cycle times and resulted in 13% reduction in total processing time.

Sychem Rack Washer: Machine to hygienically clean and dry raw material buckets, containers and utensils. The project included full process flow analysis and the complete upgrade of the washroom facility. Throughput increased by 150% from the previous methods.

Bottle Filler CIP: Designed and implemented a CIP system to reduce change over times by 58%.
Pre-weigh Down-flow booth: Eliminated an identified bottle neck in the overall value stream by implementing a Kanban system and arranging the flow of materials more efficiently. The total output of raw material picking increased by 20%.

eXP Purified Water Auto-batching: Designed and implemented extension to ring-main and include a new auto-dispensing system with batching accuracy
