Teaching Experience

  • Delivered a structured regional teaching programme co-ordinated across New Cross Hospital, Walsall Manor Hospital, and Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham (2023) – in person and via Microsoft Teams.
  • Russells Hall Orthopaedic Teaching Programme (2025-ongoing) - As part of a team, I helped develop and deliver a structured orthopaedic teaching programme aimed at supporting junior doctors newly rotated into Trauma & Orthopaedics, particularly those without prior experience in the specialty. The programme focused on common orthopaedic conditions, basic fracture management, and practical on-call scenarios. Teaching sessions were interactive and case-based, designed to improve clinical confidence and decision-making among foundation and core trainees.
  • Founder and lead of the Aspiring Medics Programme in Manchester (2023–ongoing), supporting A-level students interested in medical careers.

Leadership

  • Aspiring Medics – Founder and Lead (2023-Ongoing) - I founded the Aspiring Medics programme to support and mentor students, particularly those from underrepresented backgrounds, who may not otherwise have access to tailored guidance for medical school applications. My role includes coordinating with school staff and students, designing and delivering educational content, and overseeing all aspects of the programme. Sessions have included live presentations, mock interview preparation with feedback, personal statement support, and practical skills workshops (e.g. suturing).
  • Junior Doctor Forum Representative – Walsall Manor Hospital (Aug 2020 – Aug 2021) - During my Foundation Year 1 placement, I served as the Junior Doctor Forum Representative at Walsall Manor Hospital. In this role, I acted as a liaison between junior doctors and the hospital’s senior management team, raising concerns related to rota design, working conditions, and wellbeing. I contributed to discussions aimed at improving the training environment and was involved in feedback mechanisms that informed service development. This experience enhanced my communication, negotiation, and leadership skills in a multidisciplinary setting.
